Artists and their passions

Here is a lovely clip by local photographer Mayra Pama-Luiten who prepared a piece on several local Dutch artists and their passions. I’m in there too, working on a large mosaic! This was a piece I was creating on a garden wall in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. She came to photograph me at work.

Passion is universal humanity. Without it religion, history, romance and art would be useless.”  (Honore de Balzac)

“One person with passion is better than forty people merely interested.” (E. M. Forster)

The white marble pieces which make up the background were sourced from a headstone maker. The marble was handcut using a hardi and anvil.
